Strata

Lift refurbishment that strata committees actually approve.

Strata buildings run on budgets, committee sign-off, and minimal disruption to residents. Architectural vinyl wrapping delivers a genuine like-new result without the capital expenditure of a full cab replacement, the noise of a structural refurbishment, or the extended downtime that makes residents complain.

Why it works for strata

Fits within maintenance budgets

A vinyl wrap is priced as a maintenance item, not a capital works project. For many strata plans that means it can be approved by the strata committee or building manager without a special levy or owners corporation vote. We can provide a fixed quote and scope letter to assist the approval process.

No engineering sign-off required

Full cab replacement involves lift engineers, structural assessments, and compliance documentation. A vinyl wrap is a surface finish only. No mechanical components are touched, no engineering review is required, and the lift's existing certification is unaffected.

Completed overnight or in a single day

Most strata lift cabs are completed in one installation day. If building access or resident sensitivity requires it, we can schedule early morning starts or weekend installs. The lift is operational before residents need it.

A result residents notice

Strata committees rarely get thanked for maintenance decisions. A lift interior that goes from scratched and dated to visibly fresh is one that residents comment on. It improves the perception of building management and supports property values.

Practical considerations

Multiple cabs

We quote and install multi-cab buildings as a single scope. Consistent finish across all cabs, coordinated schedule.

Fire compliance

We use 3M DI-NOC for all strata installations where fire compliance documentation may be required. Group 1 AS 1530.3 certification available.

Quote documentation

We provide a written scope of works and fixed price quote suitable for strata committee submissions.

After-hours availability

Early morning, weekend, or after-hours installs available for buildings with restricted access windows.

Common questions

Can you provide documentation for our strata records?

Yes. We provide a written scope of works and fixed price quote at the pre-approval stage. For installations using 3M DI-NOC, we can also supply the relevant AS 1530.3 fire test certificates on request. We recommend noting the product series and installation date in your building's maintenance log.

Will the wrap affect the lift's annual inspection or compliance?

No. Vinyl wrapping is a surface finish applied to interior panels only. The mechanical, electrical, and structural components of the lift are not touched. The lift's existing WHS compliance, annual inspection schedule, and lift registration are unaffected.

How do we get a quote for a multi-cab building?

Send us photos of each cab interior, the number of cabs, and the building address. We'll provide a fixed quote covering all cabs as a single scope. Most multi-cab quotes are turned around within 2 to 3 business days.

What if the building is occupied and residents use the lift daily?

Standard practice for occupied strata buildings is to notify residents in advance, complete the installation in a single day per cab, and return the lift to service by end of day. For buildings where any daytime downtime is unacceptable, we offer weekend and early morning install windows.
